For beauty equipment distributors, the buying decision extends beyond the first shipment. Your customers will need accurate product information, replacement supplies and a clear route to support. Before comparing supplier prices, define the customer segment you plan to serve and the product categories you can support locally.
Separate the supplier's role from the product brand
Ask whether you are dealing with a manufacturer, trading company or sourcing business, and identify who is responsible for the quoted equipment and after-sales terms. LumiVera is a sourcing business that brings together supplier models across facial, skin, body and wellness categories. We do not manufacture the equipment.
Record the model number and configuration on every quotation. Similar-looking machines should not be treated as identical products. Ask which entity supplies the product documentation and who will handle any warranty claim.
Request documentation for the exact model
Obtain the specification sheet, user manual, accessory list, electrical configuration and available product documentation. Where your destination requires particular documentation, verify that the documents cover the exact product and intended use. A badge in a marketing image or a document for another model is not sufficient evidence.
Before importing or reselling, confirm the requirements applicable to your destination and product category with an appropriate local adviser or authority. Do not infer market eligibility from another country's sales listing. The requirements can differ between equipment categories and intended uses.
Agree on how a sample will be evaluated
If you plan to begin with a sample order, define your acceptance checklist in advance. Compare the delivered configuration with the written quotation, inspect packaging and accessories, and review the operating instructions. Arrange evaluation by people qualified for the equipment and intended use.
Record questions and defects with the model and serial details, photos and the steps required by the supplier's reporting process. A successful sample is a useful starting point, but ask how future orders will maintain the agreed configuration.
Make support terms concrete
- Which spare parts and consumables are available, and what are their prices?
- Who receives support requests, and what information must be provided?
- What assistance is available for diagnosis and replacement?
- Which warranty costs are borne by the supplier and which by the buyer?
- Can your team obtain the manuals and materials needed to support customers?
Do not promise your own customers a service level that has not been confirmed upstream. Keep warranty language and supplier commitments in writing, including exclusions and shipping responsibilities.
Clarify commercial terms before scaling
Ask about minimum order quantities, quantity-based quotations, available configurations, payment terms, packing and shipping arrangements. Separate confirmed production or dispatch timing from an estimate. If you want private labelling or territory exclusivity, request written terms; neither should be assumed from a general distributor enquiry.
Build a landed-cost comparison using the same destination, quantity and configuration for each offer. Include freight and the destination costs relevant to your shipment. Check the quotation's validity period before placing the order.
Prepare a focused distributor enquiry
Tell LumiVera your target market, customer segment, preferred categories, selected models and expected initial quantity. Our catalogue can help you build a shortlist; for example, facial equipment, hair removal, EMS and HIFU each have their own sections. Download the catalogue and reference specific pages so we can request relevant supplier information rather than sending an undifferentiated list.
Pricing, available documents, branding options, warranty and lead time are confirmed per model and order. Start with a precise enquiry and a documented comparison before expanding your range.
